A Tiny Visitor from Oregon

My brother and his adorable daughter, Ezra, were visiting with us from OR last week!
Noah had a great time with his cousin from across the States!

The dog must have a turn as well!

We love & miss you guys!

Hanukkah 2010

 Hanukkah decor with Noah's gifts.

 I love my mirror balls!
Each night this year we let Noah pick which gift he wanted to open. Below are the pictures. I didn't get pictures on three nights, but on those he got: story books, craft supplies and a "copter shooter" & harmonica.

The "shammus" or servant candle that lights all the rest is always red in our menorahs. We call it the "Jesus candle" because it is at this time of year that baby Jesus, the servant and light of the world, began growing in Mary's tummy.
Noah is great at lighting the menorah.

 "Galactic Grabber!"

 A Puppy Pillow Pet!
A piggy bank that counts his "moneys!"
(Now I can have my Tupperware container back!)

 A sleeping bag!
As Noah calls it: "My full Hanukkah!" (...and our pizza!)

The letter "Shin" in the Hebrew language on a dreidel. This letter represents the name of God: Shaddai- The Almighty God who is sufficient... in and of Himself for every generation. From providing Himself as the Lamb, the babe in Bethlehem, to providing our next breath,
it literally all comes down from El Shaddai.
HALLELUJAH!

Fun Times!

 Chillin' in the pool!
 "Slip Slidin' Away"
                                                                               Yahoo!
Noah's depiction of a fish. I find it interesting that it looks like it is jumping into the tub!
He uses dry-erase markers to decorate our mirrors and actually comes up with  some cool stuff.
Noah's first family picture was also drawn on the bathroom mirror.
Notice that it includes baby sister, Daddy's mustache/beard and Mommy's cheeks!!
(And, why am I the biggest & sporting a mohawk?)
 Our Thanksgiving table decor.
We splatter painted the leaves in fall colors and hung them on the branches.
These really aren't great pictures, but we had fun making the tree!

Just Plain Fun

"Oh, mom!"
(He had on matching heels before
I snapped this picture!)
He's baaaack...
...the twisted-goggle tub monster!
Notice Cricky on his arm.
He is Noah's newest "pet" cricket!
This poor butterfly was knocked senseless by the front bumper of my car.
Noah tried to rehabilitate it, but sadly, the winged creature didn't make it.
A few days later I found him in several pieces on Noah's toy parking garage.
I guess it was all for the best?
Noah really did mean well...
Yummy cookie dough!
Who needs cookies!?!
Thanks, So-so!
Everyone knows that Yoo-hoo drinks
and a Slip-N-Slide are essential back to school gear!
Preschool open house!

Team Spirit Day At Preschool

"Go Dogs!"
This reminds me of when he was "little" baby!
"#1, Woof!"
We really don't care too much for football,
but I am a crazy fan of this Georgia boy!

BTW- The pill bottle in his hand contains his pet snail!
It is real and probably getting a buzz
off the residue from whatever pills were in that bottle.

First Day of Preschool

Mommy had been crying, too!
Holding tight to Daddy!
...even tighter!
But...all in all... the day ended with smiles!

The Haircut

We started with these 3 year old,
fabulous curls...
We hopped in the tub, and Daddy started snipping!
Mommy started cryin'!
...and he snipped some more!

Lookin' rough there, buddy!
And PRESTO!...a totally different child!
He isn't sure who is in the mirror!

I have kept a huge box of those beautiful curls!

Oh, and just yesterday he told me he
wanted to grow his hair back out long...
