Playground Construction

For gifts for Noah's 2nd Hanukkah/Christmas and 2nd Bday, we asked for gift cards to use to build Noah a play ground in our back yard. Before it was all over, my husband and father didn't want to hear me say, "Hey, I have an idea!" ever again! No, really, they were great and did a fabulous job! Mom & I did mainly clean up work, errands & food prep, but we did tackle a huge butterfly bush excavation. Oh, yeah, Mike Capie helped out with a bit of the construction, also!! It was completed on the morning of Noah's 2nd birthday party: 3/21/09! Thanks to ALL!!!

Oh, yeah, we do still have to paint it! Any volunteers? I have a GREAT idea!!!! ;)

First there was the chain link fence construction!
Then, we got lumber to build a swing!
Noah is seen here enjoying the lumber before it became a swing set.
Noah taking a play break from all his hard work!!!!!

Wrestling with Nail, Papa's dog.
Hey, notice the swing legs in the ground behind them.

Soso came over one day to watch the little rascal so we could all work! Thanks, Soso!
Gran & G-Daddy stopped by and helped construct the picnic table and play house! Thanks, ya'll! ;)

After so many days of hard work, Papa Ken got Noah
a treat that was more than he could eat! :)
"Whoa! I'm pooped!"

Random Pictures from Yesterday and Today!

I ran across these pictures yesterday and couldn't help but post some of them. Enjoy!
Wow! This is certainly my child.
This looks just like some of my baby pictures!
"I'm all alone with no one here beside me..."
His shirt reads,"Mr. Mischief."
Think it's time for a diaper change?
"So happy together..."
I thought this was a cool picture!
Mama Les looks very pretty, but I'm not sure what my child is doing.
Blue-mouthed, cutie pie.
Don't you just want to kiss him and pinch those little cheeks?
I have NO idea!?!
He looks like a frog trying to fly...
The boys!
Noah insisted that we eat with him at his little table, and then he ran to get both of us bibs to wear.
Daddy wearing a bib being force fed by Noah.

SNOWFALL in GA 2009

Since Noah felt really bad on the first day it started to snow, I collected some for him to eat. He called it ice!
We had to get a few good shots in his first REAL snow. Even though he didn't feel good, he did smile for me.
Making tracks!

When you're bored, write with butter!
Creative and fun, and very stress relieving...
I now have to keep the butter out of Noah's reach!
It's my own fault!
Two tired dudes!
Ummmm...we went through a phase where sink bathing was fun again!
Noah has his race cars lined up and ready to roll.
Something tells me the little red car is gonna lose terribly!
Noah loves to read with Daddy before bed!
I entitled this one "Tantrum with Boot"

He'll even mow your lawn...or carpet!
"How exactly does this work?"
*** Well, let's examine the problem we have here.
Purple marker on mom's white couch pillow... Daddy demonstrates how to scrub, scrub, scrub!
Noah scrub, scrub, scrubs!
"Look, Daddy, no more purple marker stains!!!"
Problem solved...so I thought.
Later that same day I walked into Noah's room and discovered he had used a yellow marker to highlight the toile fabric on my rocking chair's footstool. Unfortunately, there wasn't any Scotchgard on that furniture item and the yellow is still there...as lovely as ever!
Noah still points to it and says, "No! No!"
Noah knows now that he can only use his markers and crayons at the table or at his desk! AND he can't walk around the house redecorating!

"Why can't I get my right foot to cooperate?"
Noah, his drill and his buddies!!!
( He loves to watch Curious Buddies,
especially the "Exploring the Beach" DVD)
"I love cookies!"
(Well, not really; that's about all he ate of this ginormous cookie!)
Pop-pop is a great snack packed full of FIBER!
A snack of "pop-pop" in our red chairs at Grans!
